Baby Shower

Last Thursday I had my first baby shower. One of the ladies I serve with in Young Women's threw it for me. It was so much fun to visit with just the girls for the night! I received so many cute clothes that Hannah will look so adorable in. A few of my favorite gifts were ones that people made. I love diaper cakes, and think this one's especially pretty. The other gift is a growth chart complete with Hannah's name and birds- so cute!

The Tree Is Finished!

The nursery is almost complete. Blake is making great progress on the rocking chair, and I finished the tree last week. It looks so cute and adds so much color to the room. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

FHE activity

For our last FHE we decided to try out our tie dying skills. Blake is a far better tie dyer than I am and it shows in his work. Apparently he's done this a few times in the past. I had bought some white onesies for our baby to wear to bed in the summer months, and instead of painting pictures on them like a lot of people do at baby showers, I thought tie dying them would make them really cute. Here's how they turned out.

Nursery in Progress....

Life never seems to slow down. Blake and I have given ourselves the names of "weekend warriors." It's like a mad dash to get all the errands done on Saturday, in order to relax on Sunday. Our latest project is the nursery. Blake's been busy refinishing a rocker we bought so he's constantly out in the garage sanding, staining, and restaining to get the color just right. I've been painting, and buying stuff to decorate the room. I don't know how many times I've visited Pottery Barn Kids, but I think going there every weekend for the past 2 months has made me appreciate ordering things online more. Here is the nursery so far. The only things left to add are the rocking chair once it's done, and I have some leaves to make to put on the tree. By the way I painted that tree instead of buying the decals. It was a lot easier than I had anticipated.
