Welcome 2010!

New Years Eve was such a blast for us this year. Blake and I had the idea to spend it in Seattle and get a hotel close to the Space Needle so we wouldn't have to drive home after the fireworks with all the crazy drunk drivers on the road. We booked our hotel and then thought it might be more fun if we invited more people to come along. We ended up having my parents, Blake's parents, his 2 brothers and his brothers wife all with us. We all checked into our rooms, and then headed to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. It was such a long wait, 2 hours, but so worth it once we tasted our food. Then we headed back to our hotel where we attempted to play some games, but we all fizzled out fairly fast. Some people took naps, some watched ultimate fighting on the tv, and others just talked to try to stay awake until midnight. Once 11:30 came around I thought we should walk to the Space Needle and see the fireworks at midnight since that's what we planned to do. (The room we were all hanging out in had a view of the Space Needle and we were contemplating watching the firework show from the window so we didn't have to walk in the cold). With only minutes to spare we made it to the Space Needle with the best view we could have ever wanted. There was bumper to bumper traffic, horns honking, and so many people who were making there way towards the Space Needle for the show, but once the fireworks started the whole town stood still until they were over. Happy New Year!

What a fun new years eve! Isn't it sad how the older you get the harder it is to make it to midnight!
